The Alchemists of Illusion
We believe that a truly unforgettable event needs more than just a meal or a game, it needs alchemy.
At Alchemy Theatre, we blur the lines between dining and drama, transforming our guests from mere spectators into active participants. But the magic you experience at our table doesn’t happen by accident. It’s created by the delightful collision of two distinct fields: the exact science of the culinary arts and the wild imagination of immersive game design.
The Palette of Flavours
An immersive story is nothing without an unforgettable meal to anchor it. Grant has been captivated by food since his childhood. This has led to his love of culinary experimentation, menu engineering, and turning the kitchen into a laboratory, forming the culinary half of Alchemy Theatre. With a background as a professional chef, his aim with every event is to ensure the menu is never an afterthought, but a beautiful part of the script. Familiar, fusion or molecular, each dish is uniquely designed to mirror Nicky’s narrative, and incorporates some of his favourite aspects of immersive dining: a fusion of flavours, unexpected textures, and culinary storytelling.
The Architecture of the Mind
A delicious meal is nothing without a captivating world to eat it in. Nicky has been a storyteller since childhood and her love of puzzles, escape rooms, and building complex worlds from the ground up, form the other half of Alchemy Theatre. With a background in amateur theatre, fiction publishing, and game design, her aim with every event is to tell a story through puzzles you unravel. Simple or complex, each one is unique to the theme, and incorporates some of her favourite aspects of immersive gameplay: challenge, story, and collaboration.
Our Invitation to You
We built Alchemy Theatre from the ground up to share our passion for the unexpected. From fine dining with a difference, to escape rooms that set your hearts racing, every moment is grounded in our desire to create memories that will last far beyond your last bite or puzzle solved.
